Born in Hanoi, I grew up with the memories and smell of pho, banh mi, and crispy pancakes. When I moved to Germany in 1997, these memories didn't fade but intensified. Luckily mom found a solution: She turned locally available ingredients into yummy Vietnamese meals. In 2015 I moved to New Delhi to work for an NGO. That's when the magic happened! I met my life partner during a solo trip to Manali and we've been inseparable ever since.
I started my career in finance way back in 2008 and quickly realized it wasn't for me. Finally a decade later after working in the non-profit sector and leaving my MBA midway, I decided to do what I love the most, work with food. During this time I also met the love of my life Trang. Our common love for Vietnamese food and culture sparked the idea for Vietnam-ease Càphê!
I’m a dog mama and a lover of the simple things in life. Over the last few years, I’ve come to realise that nothing makes me happier than getting an opportunity to connect with people. I believe in experiences over things - experiences result in greater happiness and meaningful memories. My favourite dish of all time is Pho Ga. It’s symbolic of the goodness, comfort and simplicity of Vietnamese cuisine.
